Brenden Moon

Brenden completed his undergrad in History with minors in Special Education and Coaching. He is a currently a Graduate Student at Drake in the Mental Health Counseling Program with an expected graduation of Fall 2026

Brenden’s approach to therapy is person-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, and relational. He believes behavior and emotional distress are meaningful responses to lived experiences rather than problems to be fixed. He works collaboratively with individuals to build understanding, emotional awareness, and practical tools that fit their unique needs, identities, and environments.

He prioritizes creating a safe, respectful space where individuals do not have to mask, perform, or conform to be supported. Brenden’s work is informed by humanistic values, behavioral understanding, and a social justice lens, with particular attention to youth, queer, and neurodivergent individuals. Therapy with Brenden is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that growth happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered.

When not at the office Brenden enjoys coaching, both sports and fitness, traveling across the country to visit friends. He also enjoys spending time with his two dogs and supporting local arts. Brenden is often found downtown during the summer at the farmers market or various fairs that take place.
