Gabby Knight, LISW
Gabby earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Criminology and Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. She has experience working with adolescents and adults, offering a supportive and collaborative space where clients can process challenges, heal from past experiences, and develop healthier coping strategies. Her professional background includes work in an adolescent mental health facility, an inpatient substance use treatment setting, and serving the community as an Integrated Health Home (IHH) case manager.
Gabby has training in Trauma Responsive Yoga, Integrative Trauma Processing, somatic modalities, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She takes a holistic and creative approach to therapy, often incorporating elements such as art, movement, and nervous system regulation. She also integrates trauma-focused and mindfulness-based practices to help clients better understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Gabby enjoys expressing her creativity and spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking. She also loves engaging in various forms of art and unwinding at home with her pets—two cats, Wrangler and Theo, and her dog, Moses. An avid reader, she is often immersed in a book and always has a growing “to be read” list.
