Isabel “Izzy” Collins, tLMHC
Izzy is a tLMHC (temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in the state of Iowa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Iowa State University in 2021 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Drake University in 2025. During her graduate training, Izzy worked with individuals across a variety of care settings, including inpatient mental health treatment for adolescents and residential substance use treatment for women. These experiences deepened her passion for providing compassionate, client-centered care to people at all stages of healing.
Izzy’s approach to therapy is grounded in nonjudgmental, genuine acceptance and meeting clients exactly where they are. Her work integrates elements of trauma-informed care, art therapy, play therapy, mindfulness and grounding techniques, EMDR-informed practices, and client-centered treatment. Izzy works with children, adolescents, and adults (ages 4 and up) and often collaborates with parents and caregivers to support younger clients. She has completed training in EMDR and is currently under supervision for play therapy. Izzy is also working toward her Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential in the state of Iowa.
When she’s not working, Izzy enjoys spending time with her partner and their two cats. She’s an avid reader, a devoted re-watcher of her favorite shows, a podcast enthusiast, and a big fan of concerts and live music.
